1 blisters of 12 tablets contains 6 white Artesunate tablets and 6 yellow Amodiaquine tablets (ADULT)
1 blister of 6 tablets contains 3 white Artesunate tablets and 3 yellow Amodiaquine tablets (JUNIOR)
One box of 6 sachets contains 3 white labelled Artesunate sachets and 3 black labelled Amodiaquine sachets.
Pharmacology and Indications
Camosunate is synergistic combination of an artemisinin derivative, artesunate and a 4-aminoquinoline antimalarial Amodiaquine. The combination is very potent against the asexual forms, schizonts and gametocytes of P. falciparum and is indicated for the treatment of all forms of malaria, including multi drug- resistant strains.

Camosunate is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to any of the active constituents or the excipients.
Drug interactions:
There have been no reports of negative interactions to date.

Warnings and precautions

Use in pregnancy:
Administration of the drug during the first trimester of pregnancy must be avoided except if in the doctor’s opinion, the benefits outweigh the risks as seen with cerebral malaria.
Adverse reactions:
Dosage and Administration:
Below one year: 
Each paediatric sachet containing Artesunate 25mg and Amodiaquine base 75mg should be dissolved in 10ml of clean water and taken daily for 3 days

1 - 6 years: 
Each children sachet containing Artesunate 50mg and Amodiaquine base 150mg should be dissolved in 30ml clean water and taken daily for 3 days.
7 - 13 years:  
One white tablet (Artesunate 100mg) ) and one yellow tablet (Amodiaquine hydrochloride equivalent to Amodiaquine base 300mg) should be taken daily for 3 days.
14 years and above:  One white tablet (Artesunate 100mg) and one yellow tablet (Amodiaquine hydrochloride equivalent to Amodiaquine 300mg) and one yellow tablet should be taken daily for 3 days.
